Pho Love

How does or CAN a soup represent so much pain, hatred and resentment???
When you let it.

Pho- or Vietnamese noodle soup for years and years made me cringe. I always said that I didn't like it but I think I've finally come to the realization that it actually wasn't the soup I hated but the selfishness that surrounded any evening involving Pho. It took about 8 years to get over that anger and actually feel the pain but then finally laughing out loud at.... a soup.

Life takes strange turns sometimes and last night mine turned down memory lane. This morning I woke up with a mind full of what ifs, wonderment and whys. I also woke up with a new respect for myself and that man that LOVES pho.

Funnier even yet is that today, I couldn't even remember ever TRYING pho...maybe I was the selfish one.

Today I ate Pho....with tendons even, and it tasted good.

Please, just say yes.

I haven't written in a few days and today I had something short on my mind and tried to send it from my cell phone but it just came across jumbled. So the ponderous thing today? When things make sense (to me) ... all is well. However, sometimes God throws me a curve ball and then I'm confused all over again.Last week, life and it's direction seemed so clear, this week....He's shaking it up again and I just sit and wait, pray and hope. This time I hope He says yes.

Saturday, Sunday, Monday.

Love in a pan.
Laughter in more than that
Sweet apples,
No bitterness.

Love in an action.
Laughter in all things.
Sweet smiles,
No bitterness.

Love backs down.
Laughter fades.
Sweet thoughts,
bitterness calls.

Little Red Riding Hood...

I'm not afraid of the big bad wolf. In fact, currently, right this very second... I'm really not afraid of anything. In fact, I sit here, with a smile on my face. Did someone just tell a joke? Nope, it's leftover from the evening I just had. I can't express how amazing it is when you put it out there and God brings it all together. He stirs in just the right ingredients and before you know it... a perfect bowl of porridge....just right.

Anticipation...

I wonder if the flowers feel like I do right now? I have a feeling they do. They spent all winter cooped up in deep, dark, cold soil...waiting and waiting for their maker to give them enough sun to peak their heads up. Well...they got the call, IN JANUARY and began creeping through the mud and the muck to come to the surface hoping that it really is time to sprout, grow and bloom. They know that if they come out too early that could get hurt, as in it may not REALLY be the time to sprout, a cold frost could come again, or even worse snow and they would wither back into the ground.

My maker has given me plenty of Son, I really, really want to sprout, grow and more than ever BLOOM but I am so very afraid of the frost.

My personal Valentine...from the lover of my soul...

The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior (Who saves)! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest (in silent satisfaction) and in His love He will be silent and make no mention (of past sins, or even recall them); He will exult over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17 Amplified Bible

This morning I got an e-mail that was a personal devotion... this was the verse that it stemmed from. With everything that the Lord has been telling me these past few days, I feel as though He just sent me the very best Valentine a girl could get. Who else gets a Valentine from the creator and lover of her soul?

God loves me, just as I am, and not only that He rejoices in me...and today, nothing else matters.
